Import contact in new list (also already existing)

Hello,
i have 5 user list now i need to make a new list with a csv file. But more user are already present in other lists. So how can i import from file in anyway? Because in other way i shold set any user for the lists...

Hi,

I didn't clearly understand your request but as I understand you want to subscribe users (already existing or not) into a new list.

To do that you can create a new list, then run your import from the CSV file and select the list you've created before when you finished the import.
If users in CSV file already exists it will just subscribe them on the new list 🙂

Hi Remi,
I am sorry to report this does not work (5.10.11 version). We have a similar problem, we want to change users from a general news list to another member list. We did an export of data, made a selection of member users, import the modified file, and select unsubscribe for the general list and subscribe/unsubscribe for the member list. Yet every time we try we get the error that all users exist and nothing is changed. In dutch:
"91 Aantal gebruikers in het import bestand : 0 nieuwe gebruiker(s) geïmporteerd, 0 Ongeldige e-mailadressen, 91 al aanwezige gebruikers
0 gebruikers zijn toegevoegd aan de lijst Nieuwsbrief"
The last statement is strange because we select unsubscribe for that list (Nieuwsbrief), so we don't want to add users to that list, and nothing is mentioned about the members list that we want users to subcribe to.

Hi,

There is an easier way. Ruin a mass action to select all users from list A and subscribe them to list B. Then you can run a second mass action is you want to unsubscribe them from list A. Or just delete liost A if the list is not needed anymore.
