GDPR - How to handle existing clients' email adresses?

I imported around 600 Email Adresses of my clients. Now I want to send them a first newsletter with information about the company and an offer. But I can't send them a newsletter, when they are not yet activated and confirmed?
So activated and confirmed them all.

Do I need a Double Opt In here, with an invitation to subscribe to my newsletter? Guess only a very little percentage will do that. And how do I invite them, when I can't send them a newsletter as they are not yet activated than?

I think about only providing them the chance to sign out from the newsletter, but will that be enough concerning GDPR?

It depends...

In case these people opted in in another way you do not need to diuble opt-in them again in Acymailing.

In case these people are actual current clients you can rely on legitimate interest and send them mail without double opt-in in Acymailing.

For any other solution I would reccommend to create a second list and send out a mail with u subscruiption link to your new list.
