Setting the width of content in a column

I'm making another attempt at coming to terms with V6. I have tried several times before but each attempt ends in frustration, so I revert to V5

Point of this:

Using drag and drop editor, how to I set the width of the content in a column? Specifically, I'd like the content to consume the full column width less a small amount of padding (don't want to look like a mailing chimp), but all I'm getting is a narrow block of text in the middle of a lot of screen real estate.

Hi,

You can have the content to use the full collumn width. Unless you mean full width on a desktop, which is not possible.

Can you post a screenshot of your issue?

PS: Pretty tedious image file system for a modern forum, IMO.

Hi,

The white are in your image is the collumn width. What you are asking for is full width, which is currently not supported.

Two final questions relating to this and version6, and before I go any further with it:

Is the total content width in a template, irrespective of the number of columns, pre-determined and fixed or can it be widened?

If so, the content width the same for every template?

Hi,

The default width for newsletters in general is 580px. This is what Acymailing is also using. And yes, it's fixed for the moment. I have no idea if Acyba will change that in the future.

By "This is what Acymailing is also using" do you mean version 5? If so, that's not my experience. Our current version 5 Smart Newsletter is 100% width:
