removing mail from queue using automation

When I configure the automation to remove a mail from the queue, I see lots of mails with the same name (subject), how do I now which one to pick to remove?
I set up a automation which creates 3 mails:

mail which offers a download to e-book
reminder to download e-book
follow up

If the user downloaded the e-book before the second mail is send, I want to delete this second mail.
But I guess do to testing all mail-subjects appear multiple times in the choicelist in the automation.
