Cron is not initiating

I am having a problem with CRON. I recently migrated my website to a new host, but all seemed to be working. I changed a few settings as needed, and MOST of the time it works. However, twice in the past four automatic sending, the cron has not worked. I have had to find the cron url and click it. Then it starts. But 15 minutes later when it is supposed to send out the next batch, nothing happens. I have to manually hit the link again. To say it again, it works sometimes and not others. I need to know that I can depend on this. I just renewed for another year. Can you give me any ideas that I am overlooking?

Can you check your log file? You will find it in Acymailing->Configuration->Queue process.

Does it contain any recent entries or error messages?

Hi, thanks for the reply. It does have a log entry. There is one for August, and it shows all mailings in August. For the day in question, August 20, there is no error message. The log entries are showing for when I manually started each cron, and that is all that is shown. I know this is the case because I notated the times I initiated the cron process by clicking on the cron link. I am still using Acymailing 5 most of the time because 6 does not yet have all the features I need. I see by looking at the time of the last cron that it was a couple of minutes ago, so I assume it is doing so correctly at the moment? I had turned automatic mailing off and then back on the other day after the problem. Could that have fixed it? Thanks
