• Missing "Created Date" filtering in ACY6

I just updated from ACY5 to ACY6 and have recreated my newsletter template using the new, wonderful editor.

In setting up an article element to show 1 article from a category, I discovered that "Order by Created Date" is not available in ACY6 (in V5 the shortcode I used was "{autocontent:290-|max:1|order:created,DESC|type:full|pict:1}")

Is there a way this can be added? The reason I used the created date is because I have a couple of thousand articles I am revamping and recycling in my newsletter. As I update them, I don't want to line them up by changing their "publish date" to a future date because that would make them unaccessible (as existing pages) to visitors. "Modified Date" kind of works, but it is messy because any article I make changes to becomes the most recent candidate for the newsletter. This is hard to keep straight when working on more than one article.

"Created Date" works for me because I can always change that on the next article to be included in the newsletter while I edit others with older "created dates."

For now you can use custom settings for your article content block. Go to Add-ons and click on the cog wheel of the article add-on to create your custom view. It's documented here: https://docs.acymailing.com/addons/settings

Please note that when creating a custom view some of the article content block options in the editor do not work anymore. When yiu create a custom view, that's where you make all the settings you need.
