Loading lists or emails takes 5+minutes

I'm just getting started and love the component so far, but I am having trouble with loading lists or creating emails (campaigns).
When I try either, I will wait at least 5 minutes for the backend Lists content to load, and a little longer for the email template load!
Otherwise, I was able to configure SMTP server and send a test email quite nicely. There are no errors displayed.
This is a custom Linux PHP 7.4 server. Is that an issue?

I have upgraded to "AcyMailing Essential You are up to date 6.16.0" and problem persists

I can confirm the behaviour. I have installed both, version 5 and 6. When working in version 5 everything is fine, but working in version 6 is extremely slow. (updated to 6.16.0 recently)
