modules no longer appearing in newsletter

Hi,
I use acymailing 5.10.7 enterprise to send out newsletters and I insert modules from joomla using tags like {module:787}
This used to work, but now the modules no longer appear in the newsletters although they are published on the web site
Can you help?

This could be relates to http/https or your ssl certificate. Can you check the following setting in Configuration->Mail configuration section Server Configuration?

Please note that the Acymailing version you are using is dated March 2019. You're missing important security fixes, bug fixes and other improvements. The latest version is 6.15.1. Please update, it will prevent you from having issues that already have been solved.

Thank you - i have tested enabling https - and the issue remains the same.
When I checked the plugin 'acymailing tag: insert a module', it suggested i use CURL - but the test of CURL resulted in a popup that was blank except for saying 'Using CURL method : ....index.php?option=com_acymailing&tmpl=component&ctrl=moduleloader&seckey=XXXX'

This client isn't yet in a position for me to update to v.6, but we hope to do this update some time next year
