borders around selected signup form fields - removal

I'm using the module to create a signup form with custom fields. and loading the module in an article so that it will inherit the sites styling.
However, when clicking the fields, the user sees highliting around the fields, red for email green for others etc....
How can I remove that border shading as it's ruining the style of the site as it doesn't match all the other forms on the site.

You can inspect these elements (right-click and choose inspect) to find the css selectors used and then add you own css for these to your site's custom css.

No. You can't. They seem to be jQuery controlled

It's css. You're probably looking without forcing the hover or active state in your console.
