limit the number of characters in the articles

Hello,
we created a plugin template which we placed in:
media / com_acym / plugins / article.html
We have retrieved the call tags for the fields, type:

{title}, {introtext}, {fulltext}, {cat}, {readmore} ...

Since the implementation of this template we notice that the option "Truncate the text" ... does not work from the administration panel.

Neither does the "<hr id =" system-readmore "/>" tag inserted in the articles.

Would you know how it is possible to limit the number of characters please ?

Hi,

When you create a custom field some options in the editor for the content block don't work anynore. When creating a custom view you need to set everything from there.
