Tried with latest version (6.1.8): the mail templates are double-encoded when stored in the #__acym_mail database table, making them unreadable when viewed for example with phpmyadmin (if you put in anything other than ISO-8859-1).
The component displays them normally, because it uses utf8_decode before displaying them.
To reproduce:
Edit a mail template, change the subject to something in another charset (for example 'ΔΟΚΙΜΗ'), and view the entry in phpmyadmin.
