User import – field allocation doesn't work

Hi there again,
we use pop to communicate via newsletter with members in our bicycle club. Now I want to add the member number to the user list next to first name ("name") and e-mail ("email") to really get the right data record in case of data changes.

So, I imported a csv file with three columns and assigned the membership number to a free, unused field; at one attempt to the field "filterflag", at the second attempt the "ip". Unfortunately it doesn't work:

I can't search for the member number in the search field, and
when exporting these fields, "filterflag" and "ip" remain empty.

Am I doing something wrong? Or does Joomla, the user administration, MySQL still have to be configured?

Hello,

Which AcyMailing version are you using?
You should use the Enterprise one if you want to create custom fields to import/export some custom data.

It is then possible to choose if you want to display it on the user listing or profile for example.
You will be able to search for values in the user listing only if you display the field in the listing.

thanks for your help! AcyMailing Starter 5.10.4 is installed.

I thought that you can only search if the column is selected for display. But that's only possible with the Enterprise version, isn't it? Then we have to look further...

Hello,

Yes, you can only add custom fields, and manage their visibility on the user listing when using Enterprise version.
Here is the documentation on the custom fields of AcyMailing version 5.

Again to the AcyMail version, because you asked for it and I see that there is a 6.x version: How do I update our system if nothing is displayed in the Extensions -> Manage -> Update section (https://www.acyba.com/acymailing/66-how-to-install-acymailing.html#update)? Under "Update Sites" is entered the URL http://www.acyba.com/component/updateme/updatexml/component-acymailing/level-Starter/file-extension.xml. Or could I install simply gz-file version 6.1.8 Starter over existing version?

Hello,

The version 5 and 6 are two different components.
You should download the version 6 indeed and install it on your website.

The first time you will access the version 6, if a version 5 is detected on the same website, you will be able to import your version 5 data in the V6.
