I'm sorry but I'm having some problems here...
I want subscribers to be able to modify their subscription (change name, subscribe / unsubscribe to lists) or delete their userdata entirely.
But I don't want to force them to create a joomla user account.
Therefore I've chosen the following Subscription settings:
- Allow non-logged-in users: yes
- Auto-generate users name: yes
- Require confirmation: yes
- Redirection after conformation: none
- Allow user data modifications without identification: no
In the documentation of acymailing 7 is written: "Allow user data modifications without identification : When your users are not identified by the system, do you allow them to modify their subscription?
If you select "No", then an identification message will be sent to the user with a link to enable him to modify his subscription."
Now the most important question: How do I trigger sending this link? This doesn't seem to work.
Current situation: When I'm entering my subscriber-data into the subscription module or into the userprofile menu item formular it both tells me "This email address is already taken by another user". It doesn't send any link for modification at all. I used acymailing V 5 before. There it worked just fine.
With this problem acymailing doesn't allow to modify or delete their own subscriber data by themselves. They even can't resubscribe to our list (we just have one) because after they used the unsubscirbe-link in our newsletter acymailing doesn't delete the subscriber. It just unsubscribes him from the list but the subscriober data remains. Therefore, when they try to resubscribe the modul also prompts: "This email address is already taken by another user"...
That am I doing wrong?
Info: We're using Joomla 3.9.24 with Acymailing Enterprise V 7.1.2
