Why is cronjob 'disabled' when subscription is removed

I'm testing on a new site Acymailing 6, but without subscription the cronjob is blocked. Why is that? And will that be changed in te very near future?

Hi,

You need to have an active license attach to your website to create a cron task.

Once you've attached your website to your license in our website you'll have to click on check my version in AcyMailing:

Then if you go in your AcyMailing configuration you will have access to the cron url 🙂

Thank you, but I know that, that was not the question.

If my subscription ends I'm still allowed to use Acymailing. That's impossible now because you implemented this feature. Also testing on a testdomain is not possible.
I don't think this is a desirable route.

And I already know the cron URL but it is not working when I remove the subcription. Very undesirable, especially for a new product that needs testing.

Hi,

We do not authorize the cron when no license is attached to your website because everyone could use AcyMailing Essential/Enterprise without paying and this is not what we want.

But I understand your point, a trial period to test AcyMailing that could be a good idea, we'll think about that 🙂
