Unsubscribe doesn't remove the user - it sends an email

I sent out an email campaign and 3 people unsubscribed.
However, they were not removed from the lists, instead, I was sent an automated email that said:
"Please unsubscribe user ID 424 from list(s) 16."
When I went to the user list - sure enough the user was STILL subscribed to the list.

What am I doing wrong? Are unsubscribes now handled manually? Is there a way to go back to doing this automatically?

Which version of AcyMailing do you use?

The email you received is email which some email client send when user clicks a link in unsubscribe header. If you receive that email, you should unsubscribe user manually, or you can also enable and configure bounce handling. There is a bounce handling rule, which will process such emails

Weird - I've been using it for 2 years, I have 500 subscribers and thats the first time I ever saw that message.
I'll check out the bounce rules.

Your subscribers probably didn't click unsubscribe header links until now. I personally, never do that in newsletters. I always try to find regular unsubscribe link

BTW, you should update your AcyMailing to the latest version, which is 7.5.10
