Distriubtion list {emailcontent} tag stripping html from email...?

Hi,

I am trying to make a distribution list with the {emailcontent} tag but it keeps stripping the even basic <p> html tags.
My acymailing is configured to have the Acy editor. However global Joomla uses JCE.

What am I doing wrong? Running AcyMailing Enterprise : 5.10.8

Bumping this up — I think I posted this amidst the holidays. Does anyone what could be going on with my {emailcontent} — is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?

Hello,

Ba careful, you let a screenshot of the connection details for your mailbox, you may want to delete it then change your password.

There is no option in AcyMailing concerning the content, it uses it without modification to create the newsletter.
It seems that the text version of the email is taken instead of the HTML version.

I can see that you're using the "POP3(without imap extension)" option to connect to your mailbox, could you try with another method if this is possible?

The IMAP method is the one AcyMailing handles the best (every mailbox is different, and some of them use weird techniques to encode the emails or segment them in multiple parts).

In the next version of the v5 there will be a modification with the "POP3(without imap extension)" connection option concerning the charset encoding (utf-8 for example) and the special characters in attachments names, but nothing has been changed for the text / html versions.

Dax Thank you Jeremy for letting me know Re: Password! I changed it already and the transfer is gone in 2 days.

When I set it to imap I get this error: The extension "imap.so" could not be loaded, please change your PHP configuration to enable it or use the pop3 method without imap extension

Where do I set this in my php configuration? Is this inside joomla?

AcyMailing uses this PHP extension to handle the connection with the mailbox.

So you should ask to your hosting company how you can enable this extension on your server. Sometimes it's just a simple modification on the php.ini file, sometimes it's a bit more complicated.
