A version 5 mailing list we have is not public and derived from a special Joomla user group. After a recent clean out four weeks ago and subsequent validation we came to 193 subscribers in the list. The list is now regularly synchronised with the group.
How can I get the same list into Version 7. I tried importing from the Joomla group, but that gives me users who are inactive (blocked) or do not want to subscribe. All up, 298 users.
I also tried exporting the V5 list of subscribers and importing into V7. This worked OK until the first synchronisation with the Joomla group occurred. It again pulled in all blocked & unsubscribed users in the group (298).
Or do I need to bother the user group with another "please confirm your subscription" message?
