date Format

Hi guys

I have set up the birthday plugin and it works great but when I preview or receive the emails they are in the US format - 2019-08-25

How do I get it to read 18th August 2019

When I change the format in settings it doesn't show the date at all - Just the code

You can set the date format when you insert the tag in the newsletter.

Thanks jvstratum and my apologies for the delay I've only just seen your response
I've seen that article but its not the date I want to add its a birthday date.

In my newsletter I have (for example)

your birthday is on {subtag:birthday}

But the date comes out in the wrong format (2019-08-20)

How can I have it so it is Tuesday 20 August?
