Javascript code to add users to a list - is it possible?

Hi,
I am using a simple 'Spin The Wheel' component where basically users can win a prize. It collects their email address then sends them a coupon code. There is an option to add custom javascript code to the component module and I wondered if it were possible to add some acymailing code to subscribe the users to a specific mailing list?

Its a long shot but it is a pretty cool marketing tool if I can achieve this.

Is this at all possible? Is there any code I c an add to do this?

Hi,

I think it would be far more easier to setup an Automation in Acymailing that will import these mail addresses from your spinner component.

For this you need the Universal Filter add-n, it's documented here: https://docs.acymailing.com/addons/all-cms-add-ons/universal-filter. Please carefully read the warning at the top of the documentation, as this add-on will give you full access to your database.

Once you have added the add-on you can setup an Automation that will import the mail adrresses from your spinner tool at any given interval you set and assign them to a list. https://docs.acymailing.com/addons/all-cms-add-ons/universal-filter#import-from-database
