We have over 140 different lists and have a number of users who are unassigned to any list.

I can't find any way to select the users, not on any list other than adding a lot of (or) clauses, one for each list, in mass actions.

Clearly, with so many lists, this is not a practical solution.

The question is: How to identify all these "orphan" users and delete them?

Thanks for the help!

Hi,

This is how you can accomplish this:

  • Go to Acymailing->Users and click on export
  • In the column "Fields to export" include the field "Listname"
  • Export the users
  • Open the exported file with Excel and sort the table on the column "Listname"
  • Delete all rows that contain a value in the field "Listname" (No value = not subscribed to any list)
  • Save your Excel as a .csv file
  • Create a temporary list in Acymailing
  • Go to Acymailing->Users, import your .csv and make sure you subscribe them to your temporary list

Once done you can perform actions on the users subscribed to your temporary list.

Thanks, appreciate the quick help! Easy solution.

You're welcome, enjouy your Acymailing!
