Selecting attachements - list form?

I would like to change the choosing form of the selecting of attachements. I think that the list form would be better (there are some files with the same beginning of the name and in this tile form nobody can know the proper name of the file. Perhaps there is a setting in Joomla but now I don't remember it.

This is not possible. Please, feel free to add this as a feature request (https://www.acymailing.com/feature-requests/). Other users can upvote your idea and the devs will certainly look at the most voted ones.

I am disappointed... I used Acymailing 5 many years (as enterprise version!). And THAT version has this.
Is this a feature? For this should other user upvote? I can not understand... all the people here use only DOS 8.3 filenames as attachements?

Version 7 is extension/plugin which is available in all features in both Joomla and WordPress. Because of that, our developers decided to use default functions and features for certain things (media manager, for example) that CMS provides. That is the reason why you see the file selection dialog window as you see it and not what you have in version 5

Version 7 and version 5 are completely different extensions. All the code from version 7 is written from the beginning, and there are no code which those two extensions share. Every feature in version 7, even if it is the same as in version 5, is completely different, code wise, from version 5.

You could see that I replied to the forum post that feature request form is an external service, and we don't have any influence on the feature available on that form

Sorry mihha, I'm afraid you misunderstood my point. And I am sure it comes from my poor englisch. I will try again:
I understand very well that the Version 5 is developed in a way and the new Version 7 in a completely different way. That's not the problem.
But the fact that attachments can also be sent with a newsletter system is not something completely new and has nothing to do with Joomla or WordPress. And the fact that the names of the files are a bit longer today isn't anything new either (if I already know that, then you, the developer, certainly do too - this possibility in version 5 is a witness).
And if version 7 has already arrived at version 7.7 and a matter of course has NOT YET been implemented and the user is sent to register in the list and others should even testify that they don't see the long names of the files either 😱 (I am very sure that you will not say that the names of the files COULD be shorter.)

I understood what you said.
But did you also understand my position? And if so, then which AcyMailing version would you rate as having this opportunity? Just so I keep saying my user as well. And in between? No attachements? Shorten the names? Version 5?

You are the very first person who complained and asked for this. In order for your voice to be heard, please open a feature request as already suggested in this topic

I am afraid that there is nothing more that we can suggest here
