one more confirmation-mail

Hi,
first, I couldn´t login here with my login from acyba.com where my subscriptions are. Why is this so?
To my problem I have to solve: I created one more subscription-form. There people should subscribe if they want to get blog-posts. Now I noticed that the confirmation-mail is the one that I use for the newsletter.
Do I have to use this one for all subscriptions? In this case I need a way to show users for what they subscribe (variable?).
Hope I explained my problem well. I use Joomla 3.x and Acy 5 both last versions.

Hi,

You only need the confirmation mail as double opt-in to store the user details and to get permission to use the mail addres for your mailings. Whenever you ask your user to subscribe to another list you do not need the confirmation mail anymore, because you already have permission to store the details and to use the mail address.

Hi,
thank you for your answer but every new user needs to go through the double opt-in. I have already a newsletter on the page, new is the possibility to subscribe to a monthly blog-article. In this form I want to offer the blog-article and perhaps another option 'the blog AND the newsletter'. In the conformation-mail I would like to write sth. like "your choice: blog-article - if you confirm you will get the new blog-articles per mail".

Or do I have to change the confirmation-text to a general term. "you allow us to store your mail-address and send you mails"? Without any hint what they ordered?

Hi,

There's only one confirmation mail you can configre, so you should keep your text general.

When you would like confirm what they subscribed to you should setup welcome e-mails. These are list based and will be sent immediately after the user clicked on the confirmation link, or in case it is an existing user immediately after subscribing to the extra list.
