Hidden custom Fields

Hello, can't seem to find an answer on the forum to this question.

Can we add an invisible custom field to a module?
or do we have to make a separate list?
or is there a better way to do this?

I want to make sure I know where the leads are coming from. I understand we can not display the CF in the module and there is the source option but I think I want it added but hidden as it's easier to use.

If anyone has any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi,

You can add custom fields to your subscription module. In case you want to hide your custom fields you can add some css code tou your site's custom css.

Please note that Acymailing itself also records the source of the subscription.

Yes I saw the source on the module. IT's more the CF I would want as easier to administer.

Can you point me in the direction of the CSS that needs to be used for hiding the CF?
It's not my strong point, so if there's any that's around would be a massive help.

Hi,

To find the code that could help you, you will have to search the internet and learn CSS if you don't know it. To find the CSS class or ID which you have to apply your CSS to, you will have to use your browser developers tools.

If you don't want to use css you can use a seperate list thet represents your lead source and subscribe your user automaticly to that list.

And if you have the Enterprise version you can setup a daily Automation that will set a value for your custom lead source field for all those users who are subscribed to this extra list and then unsubscribe them from this extra list. You set it up once and it will perform this task automaticly for you. Ain't that nice?
