Why I think Version 5 was so much better than Version 7

At the outset I'll confess that I found the move from version 5 to 7 stressful, so what follows may be influenced by that. Nevertheless, I'll try and make it objective in the hope that the developers will take it on board.
Here's four points of continually frustrate me when working with V7:

Automatically generated newsletters - in version 5 I could easily edit, amend or correct a generated newsletter. This does not seem possible in version 7
Filtering featured articles - on the basis of what we were doing with version 5, 7's inability to filter for featured articles is almost a deal breaker for us.
Modules - in V5 there was a plug in to insert modules into news letters. This plugin is not available for V7, AFAIK.
The width of newsletters - I find the modern approach of newsletters to contain themselves to a narrow width, probably in deference to smaller computing device screens, a PITA. However, I appreciate that acymailing V7 is not alone in following this limiting and, to me, annoying design trend.

The developers are not monitoring the forum at all

If you want to suggest changes, a better way would be to open a support ticket and express your frustrations there. That way, the developers will see what users are asking for, and they will put features on their to-do list
