AcyMailing 6 - Where did the Editor go?

I can't find the AcyMailing editor for my newsletters! I had a v5 AcyMailing Editor plugin - but when I selected that the back-end of AcyMailing just threw errors when trying to edit a newsletter. So I deleted that plugin, and reinstalled a fresh v6 AcyMailing - expecting that to load the AcyMailing Editor plugin fresh too - but no sign of it.

What am I missing? Can you help me find the AcyMailing Editor? Thanks!

Hi,

The V5 editor plugin works only with Acymailing version 5.

In version 6 you have to use the block editor that comes with Acymailing.

In V5 there was an option in the configuration screen to select an editor for AcyMailing.
This would allow to use a different editor for AcyMailing only.
In V6 it seems there is no longer such an option? Looks like it is using the default Joomla editor instead.

ErikMalfait Yeah, that's what I meant, there is no option in V6 to change the editor.

Hi,

You don't need to enable it, it's there when you create/edit your template, automation or campaigns. Just add blocks and then drag the type of content from the right panel into it. The editor will be present when you edit your content blocks.

The block editor only works for templates?
I also want to make changes to individual campaings, but the default editor is used in that case.

The link wit documentation was for templates indeed. But as I wrote before you can use the same editor for your campaigns and automations. and for the sake of completeness also for you welcom and unsubscribe mails. It works in exactly the same way wherever you use the editor.

Aha! Now I understand. Thank you for showing me how to access that wonderful editor.

I was just duplicating and editing prior campaigns rather than creating new ones (or working on the templates page) - as such I never saw the option to work with the new editing system.

So I'll forget about my old campaigns and start a new one from scratch to access this new (to me) technology.

For me, if I change the default editor in the Joomla's Global configuration, I can select the Acymailing editor, or any other installed, and Acy 6 will use that.
