Tutorial on setting automation using EasySocial Profiles

I am trying to do the following:

Trigger a Welcome email to be sent, as well as assignment to a newsletter, based on the EasySocial Profile the user selected during registration. This is a pet website so we have profiles for Dogs, Cats, Vets, Pet Sitters, and Pet Lovers. I have a unique newsletter for each group and would like a unique Welcome email for each group. I can see how to set up a Welcome email on user creation and I can see how to add "conditions" that would "match" the user Profile. I'm not sure from there how I select the correct "action" based on which condition is met.
I hope this makes sense. I appreciate any guidance you can provide or suggestions you might have. Thanks!

Hi,

You don't need to create an auytomation to send welcome emails since these are send automaticly.

When you create a welcome email you need to assign it to a list. Once done each user that subscribes to that list will recive the welcome mail automaticly. Because you assign the welcome mail to a list you can have a different welcome mail for each list.

Thanks for the quick reply! I get the part about creating a unique "list" with a unique Welcome email for each list (Pet Lovers, Dog Lovers, Cat Lovers, etc).

Where I am struggling is assigning the newly created user to the correct list. They won't be subscribing to a list but just registering to the Joomla website. I wanted to use the "on user creation" together with conditions and actions to then assign the newly created user to the correct list (I have installed the EasySocial add-on so I can see the User-Profile as a conditional option. My question is this... when the new user registers for the site and picks the profile they want to use, can I have multiple "automation" that all trigger on the "on user creation" and when it matches, it will then automatically assign them to that list?

Hi,

On user creation is a trigger. You can alsop set your action target in the automation. In your case you need to filter your EasySocial group. https://docs.acymailing.com/addons/joomla-add-ons/easysocial#filter-acymailing-users-on-easysocial-groups.

So your Automation would look something like this:

Trigger: On user creation
Condition: Not needed in this case, you can skip it
Action: Subscribe your user to you list
Action target: Filter on the corresponding EasySocial Group
