No v5 data migration possible

Hi,
I have AcyMailing starter 5.8.1 and would like to update to starter 7.9.4. I followed the instructions and also installed v7.9.2. But neither I was asked for v5 data migration after installation nor I have the v5 data migration button under Settings->Security.
In the database table #_acym_configuration migration is set to 1. An update to migration = 0 does not change anything or after some time migration is set to 1 again, although no data migration has taken place.

What am I doing wrong or how can I start the data migration?

Hi,

Acymailing v5.8.1 was released in September 2017. You have missed many updates.

To be able to migrate to v7 you first need to update your v5.

The update from v5.8.1 to v5.11.3 worked without any problems. Afterwards the "V5 data migration" button was displayed and the migration of the data was successful.

I have just taken over the support for this website. So I don't know why the updates have not been applied.
But AcyMailing always shows me that version 5.8.1 is up to date. I could download the package "starter_v5.11.3_2022-09-03_12-20-16.tar.gz" after the hint here. Can I just install this through the Jommla admin panel without losing data?

Yes, you can do that and then you will be able to migrate data from version 5 to version 7

Hello, I have the same issue : I have AcyMailing starter 5.8.1 on Joomla! 3.10.11. AcyMailing Starter says that 5.8.1 "You are up to date" and "Check my version" does not propose any other version. I'm currently trying to migrate to Joomla! 4 but don't manage to migrate AcyMailing starter 5.8.1. When installing starter_v8.1.2_2023-02-19_21-22-54, it just installs a new version of Acymailing and does not propose to migrate my previous version of AcyMailing. Where can I found an intermediate version that could resolve this issue ?

We kindly request that you update your v5 installation before you can migrate to v8. To do this, please login to your account on acymailing.com and visit the License page in the account section. You will be able to download the latest available versions of both v5 and v8 from this page.
