0 Cannot access offset of type string on string

Joomla 3.10, AcyMailing Enterprise : 5.11.3, php 8.0.25

I have a problem where a user with a yahoo.co.uk email address cannot subscribe to our acymailing newsletter list. It tells the user "invalid address". So, I tried to add the user myself in Users -> New. But I also get "invalid address".

I wanted to look at the email field in Configuration -> Custom Fields -> Email to see if there's some incorrect validation in there, but I get an error message:
0 Cannot access offset of type string on string

How can I fix these problems please?

The problem turned out to be coming from the AcyChecker plugin which had not told me about any updates. The affected site was on version 1.0.1 and the latest version, 1.2.1 fixed the problem. :-)
