Always include newest post in template

Hi,

I'm in the middle of migrating from Joomla to Wordpress. I managed to migrate all my AcyMailing stuff with the Acymailing add-on from Frédéric Gilles. I just can't figure out how to deal with the template in Wordpress.

In Joomla I always used "{autocontent:52-|max:1|order:id,DESC|type:intro|link|author}" in my template to send the newest post to my subscribers. I would like to have the same in Wordpress. Would that be possible? Does a similar option exist?

Or do I have a payed version to get these kind of options? Perhaps somebody knows how to make this work? Thanks in advance.

In wordpress you should use autopost instead of autocontent.

Do you mean in the same way like the Joomla-command? I cannot find any documentation about such. In the meantime I did find in the Block Editor - By category - Other options, the possibility to enter a minimum publishing date. That would also do the trick I guess. But the Joomla-like command would be better. Do you have an example or a link to some documention? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You can use the tags in the same way. Just replace "autocontent" with "autopost" and change your Joomla category ID (which is 52 in your case) to the WordPress category ID. There's no documentation of the tags available. The future of Actmailing is the drag and drop editor.

I'm glad you've taken advantage of the drag & drop editor in Acymailing. This tool will make your life much easier once you become familiar with it.
