Add Subscribers

I am new to AcyMailing and am trying to get more out of it than just the basics.
I see that I can add a Joomla module on the site for the user to subscribe however what i really need to do is add a subscribe form on an external site that will populate the user list on the site with the AcyMailing component.

Is that possible?

You can achieve that with the external subscription form as described here
