Not Liking 8.0.0 email function

I want to send out a bog standard email to thousands of subscribers. All I am seeing since the update is creating templates. The only option I can see is 'New Campaign' and 'Start from an empty template' - this takes me to the a blank page with nothing on it except 'Preview' and Blocks and Zones, and a couple of buttons, so I click Cancel. This takes me to a form similar to what I used in the past except there is no JCE Editor just words that say Edit Email. So I try to edit email and it takes me to a blank page that says preview page. and Blocks and Zones. I am wanting the simplicity of the old version. This is getting too complicated and I am going around in circles getting frustrated.
Also what has happened to the filter option which enabled creating Lists based on Joomla or MembershipPro groups? It appears that one group I want to send emails to has been changed during the upgrade to Joomla4 and Acymailing 8.0.0 and now wants to send the bulk email to ALL active users - not just the active subscribe to a certain newsletter group. I am seeing on my subscriber lists, that since the upgrade each list has been changed to add ALL subscribers to ALL lists. Not Happy!! I am wasting my time trying to sort out where I can now filter my lists again. And don't get me started on why Acymailing won't send out a test: failing to connect to the server. Everything was working great before these upgrades.

Hi,

Acymailing v8 has a new, user-friendly drag & drop editor that makes creating templates and emails easy. All you need to do is drag a structure block into your mail and then drag the type of content block you want into the structure block. For more information on how to use the drag & drop editor, please refer to the documentation here: https://docs.acymailing.com/main-pages/templates/create-a-template

Alternatively, you can use the CMS editor to work with HTML templates. When you create a new template, you will be given the option to choose between a HTML template and the drag & drop editor. Once you have created the template, you can use it to create your mail and the CMS editor will appear instead. Please note that Acymailing is focusing more on the drag & drop editor and you may miss out on some features if you opt for the CMS editor.

I have worked out how to send a test email - the configuration wanted TLS instead of SSL. Why can't you just offer an onboard html template option, like in the past, along with the sample drag and drop template that is shown?
What I am finding is the features of this version are not intuitive. For example I wanted to re-create a mailing list by importing a csv file. I had to hunt around to find out where to do this. When I create a list there is no immediate option on the list page to import users - only manage users. It would be good to have an Import button on the List page. Maybe I will get used to the new features, but it all feels like extra fiddling around when you need to send a bulk email in a hurry.

I have read your page as suggested. I have been able to create a HTML template (or as your wording says a 'Website Editor'. - again not intuitive). However, there is no option for inserting dynamic tags such as Unsubscribe', unless you are able to go back to an old email written under 5.0 to remember what tags were used.

We understand that you need assistance migrating data from Acymailing v5 to v8. If you previously have skipped the migration you can also start the migration process manually in Acymailing->Configuration->Security - the instructions for this can be found here: https://docs.acymailing.com/setup/configuration/security#database-maintenance.

We would also like to inform you that the future of Acymailing lies in the drag & drop editor, and you may find some features from the html editor missing. For more information on dynamic text in v8, please refer to this guide: https://docs.acymailing.com/main-pages/templates/create-a-template#insert-a-dynamic-text. Furthermore, you can access the tags for the html editor directly from the drag & drop editor - the corresponding tag will be displayed at the bottom of the insert dynamic text panel.

We have been unable to load the missing images in the toolbar on your site. It could be that something went wrong during installation or that your access rights are preventing Acymailing from loading the images.
