Hi there,

I've created a custom field for subscribers first-names.
(By the way, I really think this should be here in AM by default, just like email and name…).

So, in my case, when a subscriber is created, his infos are like : Bob Fisher.
Which means I'm able to start emails with "Hi Bob!".

But, during my tests, I've noticed emails were sent to "Fisher emailaddress@domain.com"
Is there a way so that emails can be sent to "Bob Fisher emailaddress@domain.com" ?

I am afraid that there is no way to change that
AcyMailing will always send emails to the "{name} {email}"

If you need to use just the first part of the name in your emails, you should continue to use only the NAME field and then use the following dynamic text tag in the email to extract just the first part of the name

{subscriber:name|part:first|ucfirst}

OK I see.
Well, I think the confusion is that I always considered the name value as "last name" (that's why I added a first name value). The way you see it (so does Joomla, I think) is name = first name + last name.
OK, too bad for me!
