Auto Registration Confirmation while disabled

Hello everyone,
I have a problem for all the proposed lists: auto confirmation is disabled (GPDR) and the user does receive an email asking for confirmation. He appears to be unconfirmed in the subscribers list, so it's OK.
However, one minute later, the account is self-confirmed?
Do you know where the problem lies?
