a few issues/improvements for Acymailing 6

Hi,
Now that Acymailing 6.4.0 is released (with the feature of automation etc) I can switch from Acy5 to Acy6. So excited about it 🙂

So I have made my first experiences but I face several issues :

for the view and the unsubscribe Tags, even if they appear OK in the backend, in the received newsletter the html is "broken" (some missing < or something)
my site is multilingual. But if I insert articles from a catagory, it does not allow to filter on the language. So this is annoying. There should be an additional dropdown to filter on language
when inserting an article inside the newsletter, you can scroll the Article options pane on the right. If you scroll with the wheel of the mouse OK. But if you click on the bar to scroll then the pane "closes"
when inserting Articles from a Category (Joomla) inside the newsletter, you can set the "number of articles". Good. But there used to be a filter "only newly created" etc. How does Acy6 behave ? If I send an automatic newsletter every week with the last 3 news... what will happen if next week I only have 2 news ? Is Acy6 smart enough to automatically send every article only once ?
at the beginning of many of my articles I use a shortcode like {index} (which creates an index of the page, see the extension of Regular Labs). When inserting articles inside the newsletter, this shorttag does appear. How can I make it disappear (in Acy5, you could have done it for example by Replacing the Acy Article Tag by the real content and there you were free to edit. So maybe something similar is foreseen ? Or maybe it can be coded that everything between curly brackets is ignored ?)

I also have 2 suggestions (unless I have missed something in the interface 🙂 )

when creating a campaign, on the Recipient tab, you can select to which list you want to send. Perfect. But on that screen it would probably make sense to display the number of subscribers for each of these lists (if you have a list of 100 Members and a list of 5000 Subscribers, you won't make a mistake and choose the wrong list if you also see the numbers)
when inserting Joomla Articles inside a Newsletter, the parameters are perfect (like number of characters, Readmore, ...). But is there a way to change the default ? (for example, I would like the default to be 400 characters and Readmore set to Yes)

Please let me know if issue is present on every campaign you send?
If so please provide us with a backend + FTP + PHPMyAdmin access so that we can have a look
Is it a WordPress or a Joomla website? How do you handle the multilingual function?
Nice one! We will fix this in the next version!
Right now, we didn't implement this condition.
Will do it in the next version which will be out in one month.
We currently don't have any way to remove content nor replace tags. We will probably add this feature in the future but I can't tell when this will be done :-/

My turn to reply (I waited for 6.5 before replying and now I even installed 6.5.1 just to be sure and to avoid speaking about things which are maybe fixed in-between)

1/ Yes, I will send you the Credentials so that you can see for yourself. But I have just tested with 6.5.1 and I still see the same issue : I choose Acymailing's default template and everything seems fine until the last screen where the preview already show the bug in the html tag which is not correct (">)

2/ I always use Joomla, never ask me that question again 😃
And the Multilingual features are used natively (no external Extension, only core) and it works fine on the whole site.

3/ txs for the fix. I do confirm : everything's fine now 🙂

4/ do you mean it is now in 6.5.0 (or for which version will it be)

5/ sure. I must admin it is a bit specific to my site. But what is the Acymailing's file I should "override" in order to customize this myself (and remove any potential {index} with a regex of my own) ?

Suggestion 2/ : see the screenshot : I simply mean : as it is now the default values are "Yes" for "clickable title" and "0" for "truncate text after". It would be handy if Acymailing would remember the last choice (or to be able to set what you want by default) instead of having to change it every single time of your life 🙂

I summarize our exchange herafter so that everybody benefits from the tests and exchanges :

2/ filter on languages
the filters on languages will eventually come (I just have to be patient 😃)

4/ be sure that the same article won't be sent twice (with automated newsletter)
that is fine by default
only thing : to avoid to send a newsletter with 0 articles, set a minimum to 1 or whatever

5/ how to remove a string (in my case {index} at the beginning of many articles) when I insert an Article in a newsletter
An excellent trick by Acymailing :
Create following directory and file : /media/com_acym/plugins/article.php
and put the following in it :
<?php echo str_replace('{index}', '', $result); ?>
