Welcome Email and Community Builder

I found a couple of discussions about finding a way to automatically send a welcome email when a user is added to the list. (Not when a user adds themselves)

I have set up user registrations with Community Builder and CBSubs (Subscription plugin) where a user who signs up for specific plans gets added to a specific AcyMailing list. For example, paid members are to get one Welcome Email while free members get a different one.

From what I have read the Welcome Email will not be triggered to be sent since Community Builder/CBsubs is adding users to the list. Is this still the case?

If it is, how can I trigger an email to users who are added to a list? I also do not want to send this welcome email to those already on the list.

Eventually, I would also like to find a way to send automated emails to users that have renewed their subscriptions and have not thought through how to do this. (This is a task for another day)

Welcome email can be sent using Automation feature. You just have to create an automation, which will check the user subscription. If a user has been subscribed for a certain newsletter list, and he already didn't receive welcome email, you can send Welcome email through the automation

Will the automation work if Community Builder adds people to a list when people sign up? From what I read the automation only works if the user adds themselves.

If this is the case, I am trying to figure out how to trigger emails when a user is added not when a user does it. I don't see which trigger I would use in this case.

I also don't want to send a welcome email to people already in the list as its too late to send them a welcome email at this point.

You can create an automation which will be triggered (for example) every 15 minutes. In the automation filter, if user has been subscribed in the past 15 minutes and then email him if he did so

Are you referring to the trigger "When the user subscribes"? If so will this trigger work if the Community Builder extension places users in the list when they sign up for an account?

I'm also not sure where I would set the 15-minute time frame. Where is that setting?
