8.6.2 to use J4 date fields for birthday emails

in the 8.6.2 changelog I read" "Added the possibility to use Joomla date fields for birthday emails"

Please, What do you mean exactly? Can you explain a little bit more?
Do you have any use case example ?

Hi,

Previously, only the Acymailing date field could be used for birthday emails. However, we have now made it possible for custom date fields added to Joomla user registration to also be used for birthday emails.

Okay, so:

I'd like to add a Joomla Calendar user custom fields to Joomla user registration (for Birthday) and I'll can now use it in the Email

But, when users are not yet registered guests can Subscribe to AcyMailing lists and to input their Birthday date many thanks to the Date (Birthday) AcyMailing custom field.

1 - if then the guest going to register, the entered Birthday date is not "moved" to the Joomla Calendar user custom filed. The user have to re input the date and technically they could be different generating an "error".
While it should be a way to "automatically" copy and paste, synchronise, the Birthday date yet entered into the AcyMailing subscription with the Joomla Calendar user custom filed.

2 - So, what's happening during sending an Email with a Birthday field where the recipients in the List are mixed (Guests / Registered) ?

Hi,

In this use case it is avisable to continue to use the Acymailing birthday field and forget about this feature. Otherwise you get things messed up.

The feature is for those users working with the Joomla fields so that the don't need to move the fields contents to an Acymailing field anymore.

Hi,
that's the question I'm pointing up, I'd like to work directly with the Joomla user custom fields too (more integrated, editable in the Joomla User Profile), but, How to full integrate it with the AcyMailing Birthday custom field I'm collecting when the user is still just a guest ?

That "integration" (something similar of what you are doing with the user email field sync, but to setup in the Configuration > Subscriptions > Joomla integration) will solve the issue I exposed in the point 2 during the sending email with birthday custom field...
