Joomla articles not available in the email builder

I'm trying to convert a smart newsletter from v5 into an automatic campaign in v8. This email needs to pull content from a Joomla category. But I don't see where/how to do that. Under the Add-on page I see Article available, but in the email builder right panel the Dynamic Text Type tab doesn't include any options for inserting articles. What am I missing...?

Hi,

To achieve this you do not use the dynamic text. Instead you drag the Joomla article block into your design. Once done you see all available options in the right panel of the drag & drop editor. Go to the tab "By category or tag", select your category and select the options you want. Scroll down to find the extra options for the automatic campaign.

Ok, thank you. That wasn't obvious for those migrating from v5 where this was done with tags in the body of the content.
Two follow-up questions:

There doesn't seem to be a way to format the output. I am inserting a list of article titles from a specific category. They are getting formatted with H2 tags and the style settings (gear icon/panel) are ignored.
I'm setting up an automated email that sends new articles added to this category. But the option states it will send out new content since the last time the automated email was generated. That's a problem for the first mailing because we have been sending these out for some time using the v5 smart newsletter. I only want truly "new" articles to trigger the automated mailing. Thereafter it shouldn't be a problem -- it's just the first mailing that's a problem because there's nothing prior to it to establish a baseline for "new" content. Any thoughts?

One other comment -- I was using the documentation you referenced but it doesn't actually reference the Article block that needs to be dragged into the canvas. It just shows the options screen. You may want to improve that.

Changing the font size of the h2 tag in the design panel should also change the titles of your inserted articles. In case this is not working on your site I kindly request that you submit a support ticket through our website at https://www.acymailing.com/support/. This will enable our team to efficiently and effectively provide you with the assistance you need.
When you create a new automatic campaign you can set a minimum publishing date. This will prevent you from inserting already sent content. You'll find it in the section "Other options" on the tab where you select your category.

Dragging and dropping zones and content blocks is explained elsewhere in the documentation and therefor not repeated over and over again. It's the whole concept of the drag & drop editor and the use of it is also self explanatory by looking at the name.
