Sending test mail to a non-subscriber used to work, but not anymore?

Whenever I sent a test mail to a non-subscriber in the past, AcyMailing would automatically add that email address to the subscribers before sending the test mail.
But now it will fail with a "user not found" message.

Is there some setting that I missed? I have looked through the configuration several times but I cannot find a setting that seems related to this.

Hi,

This is still working as you've described.

The only way I can replicate your issue is by not entering an email address. When you start yping an emailaddress you have to click on the light blue bar that is showing you the addresses you can select from. If you just hit TAB and then send the email, no receiver is added to the address field and you'll get the message you saw.

Make sure the email address is added in a dark blue box in the "Send test to" field.

Already found it when I noticed that subscribers that were made in the back end would not be created (without any error or warning).

Turns out that the 'automation' field in the __acym_user table had no default value while not being allowed empty. Set default value to NULL and all is well.
