Joomla: download files only after newsletter signup?

Hi there,
I want to create several pages on my site, where people can watch videos to different topics and download some additional info as PDF.
The download link (which is different on each individual page) shall only work after they signed up for the newsletter.

Is there a way how I can achieve that with Acymailing?
If not, any tips how to do such with Joomla standard options or other plugins is very welcome!

Hi,

Acymailing is not specifically designed to serve as an access manager for individual links. You would need some kind of download manager to achieve what you want. You can search such extensions in the Joomla Extensions Directory https://extensions.joomla.org .

These download managers use the Joomla user groups to determine who has access. In our latest version 9.2.0, we introduced a new feature that allows you to set up an Automation to add Joomla users to specific Joomla user groups. Automations are part of our Enterprise version.

Stefan, I use Edocman and have it set so that the user can only download a document (PDF) once they are in the "registered" user group. It's been working for years. I'm sure other plugin would work fine as well.
