Unsubscribe Link in Website-Editor

AcyMailing 9.1.0 Enterprise
I have created several eMails with the Website-editor, not the Drag & Drop-Editor.

I would like to add an unsubscribe link at the end, made some research, and finally found this:
<a href="{unsubscribeauto:{unsubscribe}{/unsubscribe}}">Unsubscribe</a>

When I add this, and send the mail to my test-list, then the link shows up as intended. But when I click on it, nothing happens.

What should I use in order to add an unsubscribe link? Thanks.
And I have heard that there will be some "regulatory" changes - like that you are not allowed to send out newsletters without an easy unsubscription link anymore. Services like Gmail or Yahoo will classify you as spam, if this option is missing. Would that unsubscribe link be sufficient?

Hi,

The unsubscribeauto tag is only needed if you're using Elastic Email as sending service. Otherwise you can use {unsubscribe}your text{/unsubscribe} tag.

Regarding your second question be advised that each mail needs an unsubscribe link and a list-unsubscribe header. You can enable the latter in Acymailing->Configuration->Mail settings in the Advanced section. Other than that you would need to configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC dns records at your hoster. And pleaase do not use p=none for your DMARC, setup a proper policy that uses p=quarantaine or p=reject.

Thank you. One more question: How can I change the text color for this tag? I tried it with <style="color: red"> but the link is just disappearing.

Regarding the second: Yes, I have activated the Unsubsribe Header as well as made the settings for DMARC, DKIM, SPF.
What is not clear for me - where is this unsubscribe button showing up, if I activate "Add unsubscribe header in eMails"?
I have activated and sent an eMail to my Gmail account: I cant recognize anything there.

Where and how did you put the style code?

The list-unsubscribe header is placed in the header of the email that allows email recipients to opt-out of receiving emails without clicking through an unsubscribe link or marking a sender as spam or junk. The header is not visible when reding the email in an email client. To see if it's present you can check the email header.

Well, I tried to add the style-info directly into the code - like:
<style="color: red">{unsubscribe}your text{/unsubscribe} </style>
Also tried: {unsubscribe}<style="color: red">your text</style>{/unsubscribe}

I was sending a test mail to a Gmail-Account and checking the header, but could not find it. I sent an eMail made with the HTML-Editor - I guess it doesnt make a difference, if created with the regular editor, or the Drag&Drop-Editor?

That's no valid html. You can't put in a style element just like that. Wrap it in a <span> or <div> like this.

<span style="color: red">{unsubscribe}your text{/unsubscribe} </span> You might need to add !important and I recommend to use the hex color code instead of the color name.

I suggest to familiarize yourself with the drag & drop editor, it will make your life a whole lot easier.

What you show in your image is the mail envelope, not the email header. It should look something like this:

Thanks - regarding eMail-header, now I found it...
Using hex-code: understood. That was kind of a placeholder anyway...
Drag&Drop Editor: I agree as well. Just wanted to show the planned mails not like a typical newsletter, thats why I was using plain text only, like in a regular eMail... 😉

Regarding changing the colors: I tried this (with span as well):
<div style="color: red!important;">{unsubscribe}your text{/unsubscribe}</div>

In the preview, it shows up in red. But when I am sending out a test mail, it still shows the ugly blue in my mailbox.

you can use the drag & drop editor as wel to send "plain" text emails. Just add a text block and add your text.

Regarding this: <div style="color: red!important;">{unsubscribe}your text{/unsubscribe}</div>, you could try to add a class and add css to the custom stylesheet of the e-mail.

<div class="myClass">{unsubscribe}your text{/unsubscribe}</div>

css:
.myClass a { color: red!important; }I haven't tried this, but in case it doesn't work you need to use css with a higher css specifity. You can read more about that here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/Specificity

Please note that css is beyond the support we provide on the forum.

Thank you - one last question: Where would the CSS go to in case of Acymailing?
I added it to templates/mytemplate/custom.css - but no success.
