Hi,
It’s common knowledge that emails clients all render emails differently. When a subscriber forwards an email, some email clients change the code of the forwarded message. This can include stripping out certain HTML elements, wrapping your email in a block-quote, or inserting additional classes to your code—all of which can break your design and make the email less functional for the recipient of the forwarded email.
Some common forwarding issues we have seen:
buttons converting to images
links breaking
formatting breaking
white lines across the email
margins changing
While there are no ways to prevent this during your email-building process, we recommend enacting internal processes that discourage forwarding.
