There's a difference between a confirmation email and a welcome email.
A confirmation email is an email with a confirmation link that is required for double opt-in. It will be sent only once for every email adrress that is added to Acymailing. In case an email address already exists in Acymailing and a user subscribes to a second list he will not receive a confirmation mail again. A welcome email is list based and will be send once a usser is subscribed to your list and this email does not contain a confirmation link.
When you use the Hikashop integration and a new user is added he will automaticly receive the confirmation email. There's no need to setup an Automation for this.
If you want to use a welcome email for this list there are some things to keep in mind.
If the Hikashop integration adds a new email address to Acymailing the confirmation email will automaticly be send and once the user clicks the confirmation link the welcome email that is attached to the list will be send.
If the Hikashop integration subscribes an existing Acymailing user to your list the welcome email will not be send. The reason for this is a security that prevents the welcome email to be send for users that are subscribed via the backend, which is what is happening when using the Hikashop integration.
In case you want to use welcome emails you do not attach a welcome email to this list. Instead you can setup an automation that will send an email to thge user. In this case you setup the automation like this:
- Trigger: Everytime Acymailing is triggered
- Action: Action on user->add an email to the wueue and select or cereate your email.
- Targets: Users who subscribed to your list and set a relative time 5 minutes in the past.
