Hi there

Here's a short feedback for the new V6 Acymailing.
I like the logic behind it, the structure has become simpler and it seems easier to manage.
However, I have quite some problems with the change of the design. Why make a separate template for the admin section? Personally, I can deal with it. But my clients really get confused, they have finally grasped the Joomla and are familiar with the backend, then they are confronted with a different layout (colors, position of buttons, etc). Maybe a choice about which template to use for the user would be nice?
Btw, this is not only Acymailing, I seem to see a trend with other extensions. When every component looks differnt in the backend, I fear usability in generl looses.

Thanks for the feedback!
We wanted to develop something which has the same interface on Joomla and Wordpress.
Also, we wanted to apply our own design / structure :-)

You're right that's a choice we made but don't worry.
It's a bit confusing during the first times but then you'll love it :-)

!lszlsz2, I thought I'm the only one with this sentiments 😁 I don't understand Acyba developers on this matter, why are they spending so much time revising the backend UI.

The backend UI can be the standard joomla backend interface so end users will get use to how Joomla backend is. Oh please don't give me that reason that Acymailing also runs on Wordpress. It runs on Joomla so it should look like Joomla, if you want it to run on Wordpress then fine run it on Wordpress but don't mess up with user friendliness.

I think I understand how Acyba developers think, correct me if I'm wrong Alexandre, do you guys really think that all who uses Acymailing or manages Joomla website is a single person who are high technical? If you look at Joomla User Manager, it has Groups, ability to give permissions, ability to add endless number of users.

Well, to be fair, I have only used V6 for like more than 48 hours while trying to create a new Template layout using the new drag n drop editor. Not for me but for my end users who does not know HTML or CSS at all. If me who is technical enough is confused and feel limited with it, do I need to wait for complaints coming in?

Alexandre, I have worked with you in finding that glitch/bug in Acymailing mailing has few years ago when it sends to 10K+ of one of our mailing list or I think all of our mailing list, so more than 10K people. You were patient enough to work with me in finding that bug while I am busy picking a complaint call about what the heck is that email about. Can you please be gracious enough this time to make your decision makers and developers to please, stop thinking that Acymailing is for highly technical users and only 1 person is using it?

Hi Jackson,

I'm the decision maker and I made the decision to improve the UI first.
We have tons of people thanking us for this new interface, to make it more clear and more simple.

So we did think that AcyMailing is not for higly technical people. That's the main reason why we changed interfaces etc.

As regards your point, I've already replied to your emails. We have tons of subjects we need to work on.
As for the moment we mainly get positive feedbacks about the editor and we don't have that much people (as you say) that are not happy with this one.

So we will improve it in the near future for sure.
But please be patient, we've a lot of things to improve / bring back and we need to prioritize all of them.

That's not a simple thing. Be sure that I would love to have all these features done quickly ;-)
