I have a question for you. I'm trying to send an article category with a smart letter so that one article is sent per hour. I have 30 articles, I want to start with the first and then every second sends the second, the next hour the third and so on. Hi,

You are referring to additional parameters. You need to add these manually in the insert tag field.

Hi,

What you describe are follow up mails. Smart newsletters are not designed for that.

In Newsletters->Campaign you can create a follow up campaign for your course. You need to add a follow up mail for each lesson. There is a button with which you can duplicate your follow ups, so you only need to change the parameters that are changing.

In case of an online course you're fine with the subscription date. If this is about a class course within a given time frame and all users have to receive the same mail at the same time you can create a second list that you use in your follow up campaign and use a mass action to subscribe your users to that seceond list at the same time.

Maybe you want to take a look at version 6. With Automatuons you can have way more control.

Hi,

The follow up campaign is based on the user and subscription. If you have 30 lessons to send with an interval the follow up campaign is the way to go.

To send fnew created articles to your entire list you have two options. The first one is to enable the plugin "send mail on article creation". As soon as you save your article you will be asked if you want to send it immediately. If you don't want to send it at that time simply ignore the question.
The second option is to create a smart newesletter that will run automaticly. This will send the mail to your list subscribers. In case you need to send this new article to future subscribers add it to your follow up campaign or create a new follow up campaign.

I did not suggest you to use a mass action to add a mail to the queue. Meanwhile I understand that this is about online courses, so youi can forget what I wrote about the mass action. (Nevertheless, mass action run only once, so there never can be an endless loop)
