Significantly large database tables - what will I loose if I empty them?

Hi,

I use akeeba backup and because of some acymailing tables it can take up to 8 hours for the backup to complete. Some of the tables are absolutely massive.

If for example I empty the acym_emails table will I lose all the emails in the administrator/acymailing/emails?
There are under 200 emails in there which I want to eventually re-schedule, so don't want to lose them, or is it a list of all the users this mail has been sent to that gets deleted?

the other large table is the user stats one and the user clicks, again what would be deleted from the acymailing administration area? I could export these tables if what I lose are the stats produced so i still have the history.

Finally, I set the database management to 1 week for user stats and email stats to see what it removes, but it does nothing. I even ran the acymailing cron but it removed nothing.

Hi,

It;s never a good idea to manually delete data from your tables. There's a fair chance you will end up with troubles somewhere.

When you configure Acymailing to automaticly delete the user detailed statistics and/or user history Acymailing is processing this once a day as a daily task. You can change the time for the daily tasks on the license tab in the Acymailing configuration. (Note that if you change the time for the daily task after the daily tadks have been executed, it won't take effect until the next day.)
