Welcome mail problem

Hello,
I have a porblem with the welcome mail. I have created a welcom mail for one of my lists, but whatever I do, I'm always receiving the default welcome email. I'm not able to change that beheviour and don't know what esle to try.
Yes, sendeing emails is working, default email is sent. Yes, I'm adding a new user from the frontend.
Can comeone can advise ?

Hi,

There's no such thing as a default welcome email for your lists. You can add a deperate welcome email for each list. Could it be possible you are referring to the confirmation email?

When you have double optin enabled the confirmation email will be send when someone subscribes. Only once the subscriber actually confirms the subscription by clicking on the confirmation link the user is confirmed and the welcome email will be send.

Please note that a welcome email will be send to a subscriber only once. When a users unsubscribes and afterwards subscribes again the welcome email will not be send again. For testing always use an email address that has no subscription status (subscribed or unsubscribed) for your list.

Hello,
thank you for your replay.
Indeed a was refering to the confirmation email. After your explenation I understood better the mechanism.
The actual problem that I have is with the content of confirmation email. In the attached file you can see what is happening.

My thought was to replace this email with welcome email, to avoid the porblem, but now I see that this workaround won't be possible.
Could you please advise how to git rid ot those unnecessary information and get a correct caracters coding ?
From what I can tell the utf-8 coding is correctly set up in the whole component.
Also, could it be because of wrong setup of mail client ? The issue is that when I open this message in the web client, it looks fine, as it should, but when opening it in the Thunderbird, I get a "text" version with coding etc.

Hi,

It's probably Thunderbird causing this. Can you check the following setting in Thunderbird?

If you have selected: View > Message Body As > Original HTML, then the Content-Type: text/html section is displayed, but if it is not present in email then Content-Type: text/plain information is displayed.

This won't work. Once a subscriber has received the confirmation and clicked on the confirmation link he never receives the confirmation email again. It's just meant to confirm yhat you can use the email address. Whereas a subscriber can receive a welcome email for each subscription to an indidivual list.
