Mentioning BW compatibility with plugins in changelog

I have two client websites that stopped working correctly after updating to Acy 10 because of plugins that were not ready for this release. I only install updates after reading the changelog and there was nothing mentioned about such severe changes to the code. This is the second time I experience this in less than a year.

Would it be possible to specifically mention possible breakage of plugins in the changelog when you make such great changes in your code? This way I know I have to wait to update after the other software has been tested and updated with your new releases?

Another suggestion is to make betas or RC's available to (registered) developers of plugins (in my case Membership Pro and Convert Forms) so they have the ability to test before you release?

Re Glibea: I also use Convert Forms. Can you give me a hint as to what function will not work?
