Modify the "Modify your subscription" view

Is it possible to send existing subscribers to a page where they can select additional lists to subscribe to, without having to enter their email address? Something like a customized “Modify your subscription” page, where we can control which lists are shown? The reason for this is that sometimes we want to send out a newsletter asking our subscribers what topics they are interested in learning more about, and then letting them subscribe to corresponding lists. It seems that this can be done though modifying the “Modify your subscription” page, but I haven’t found out how to do it. In the old forum it was mentioned that you could create a menu item for the modify your subscription page, configure it, and add the menu item id to the "manage subscription" plugin (https://www.acyba.com/forum/4-general-talk-about-acymailing/72029-modify-subscription-page-shows-all-lists-evene-set-to-none.html). In the Manage the Subscription plugin help file, https://www.acyba.com/acymailing/74-acymailing-plugin-tagsubscription.html, there are listed parameters for this (Modify your subscription Page Itemid: You can link your "modify your subscription" page to a specific menu by specifying the itemid), but the plugin doesn’t have this parameter (and it is not on the screenshot either). Any help on this? Or is there a better way to let a current subscriber add a list among a chosen subset of available lists? Thanks a lot for any help on this!

Hi,

You can create more then one menu item for modifying your subscription. When editing the menu item you can set the visible lists on the tab "Options". In the plugin you can set which menu item you wish to use for your modification page.

Otherwise you have options to work with Acymailing modules where you also can set the visible lists. Just crerate a menu item and add the module to it.

Thanks for the reply. Which plugin are you referring to? AcyMailing Tag : Manage the Subscription? If so, I don't see where I can set the Menu ID in the plugin. But maybe I am looking at the wrong plugin?

You are looking at the right plugin. Please, raise a suppor tichet for this via Acyba's website (https://www.acyba.com/contact-us.html) and include login credentials for your backend and a link to this thread, so they can have a look at it.

I got great help from support. The documentation was not up to date, so they have now updated it. This is the instructions they gave me that worked:
You can create a menu type AcyMailing => "User : subscribe/modify your subscription".
Editing this menu, you can choose which lists to display.

When you insert the "Modify you subscription" tag in the newsletter, choose the menu you created (see attached subscription).
This way the modify your subscription link will use this menu and you will only display the lists you configured.
