Hikashop Abandoned cart

Hi,
I'm tying to setup abadoned cart mailing but I can not figure out how to do it. Nor can I find a solution in the documentation. What I need is:
A user puts stuff in their basket and forgets about it. I would like them to receive an e-mail saying the have stuff in their basket maybe the need to check it out. Preferably with a list of the products in the basket and/ or a link to the basket.

I've tried with an automation, but I can not find the correct trigger. It only triggers if something happens to an order, but there is no order yet.

I've tried it with an automated campaign, but that one keeps sending met mails and the products that are in my basket are not showing. That can be a bit annoying (and I'd doubtful people without a abandoned cart won't get this mail).

So is there a clear, step-by-step instruction about how to set this up?

Hi,

To sendthe abandoned cart email you need to setup an Automation for it. Because the cart is abandoned nothing will change to the order status, so you can't use these triggers. Instead you need to use a classic time based trigger, like "Once a day" or any other time interval which is convenient for you.

Once editing the email in the Automation you can add the abandoned cart information (inclusing the product detailes you desire) as described here: https://docs.acymailing.com/addons/joomla-add-ons/hikashop#abandoned-cart

Please note the following.

Acymailing will only send emails to subscriners that are registered as subscribers in Acymailing.
A Hikashop user needs to be logged in, otherwise there's no way of knowing to whom the abandoned cart belongs

Hi,
I did that, but when I do it like discribed I get an e-mail everytime interval I set for the trigger. Can we limit that to a max of 3 reminders per user?

Hi,

You need to check if the abandoned cart email has not already been send. On the Action Targets tab of your Automation you need to add this by adding:

AND did not receive reminder

I think we are talking about different automations.
I've tried both the Automation through Automations and the automatic campaign. You are talking about the first one right?
I did not get that one to work. So how you I set this up?

On the tab Information I set the trigger to time based (every 1 hours).
On the tab Conditions I did not set any.
On the tab Actions I set 'Add an email to the queue and there I choose my earlier setup mail by choosing an existing mail.
Then on the tab Action targets I don't know what to do. I guess I need to select an Acymailing list that they are subscribed to? I have two lists, so I think I need to set the other one by the Or option.
But then how do I set de restriction that the did not get a notice yet? I only see the Hikashop - Reminder, but that is linked to the order.

Hope you can clarify this for me.

Hi,

I'm sorry, I don't have Hikashop installed. You can use both en Automation and an Automatic campaign. In fact the automatic campaign even is the better option.

On the segment tab you need to add a AND filter that checks if the user did not already receive the reminder email.

So you need to set the Hikashop reminder AND the statisticsfilter that the user did not previously received the reminder email.

Just click on the button "Add filter" to get the AND filter. Both filters must match otherwise the email won't be send. That way you prevent Acymailing to send the same email over and over again.

When I set this, no user matches, because the order was not created yet.

It will match when the Automatic Campaign is triggered and you have abandoned carts
