Video element

Hi!

I have a question about "video" element in Acymailing 6:

when you use this element, a modal windows appears with a field to type video url:

Once you type url video (i.e: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDqV3q5U4ng), a image preview appears in the editor, linked to the video url:

But this image appears to be a "normal" image. It would be possible to show a play icon overlay? So users could know that is a video link.

Have you tried to create this with some custom css?

It would be a nice feature though. Please, feel free to add it as a feature request on Acyba's website (https://www.acyba.com/community/feature-requests.html), so other users can upvote it.

I want to try something like this: https://douglasgreen.com/demo/responsive-video-play-button/ But I need to add some custom blocks (span) and add css classes to "div" and "a" (link) tag. I don't know if is possible to custom video element html output.

Hi,

When you select the block you put the video in you can give the block a html-ID that you can address in your css that you add to your custom style sheet. And you can also edit the block's html to add extra html code.

Hi,
I currently get around this by creating my own cover image and including the play icon in that. Then, instead of choosing the video in acy, I use the image block instead and add the video url to that. So it looks like a video to play - users are none the wiser.

It isn't ideal but works for now for me at least.
